Description
Provided by Parkinson & Movement Disorder Alliance
Advanced Therapeutics in Movement & Related Disorders Congress® (ATMRD) is focused on reaching movement disorder specialists, neurologists, fellows, and advanced practice providers and aims to prepare learners to apply new knowledge, tools, and strategies to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with movement disorders. Learners will explore in-depth, science-based research focused on efficacy in real-world patients and engage in stimulating discussions of clinical practice case studies that use advanced therapeutics to solve treatment conundrums.Accreditation Statement

- Analyze the natural history of motor fluctuations in Parkinson’s disease and apply evidence-based strategies to manage motor complications, including optimizing medication regimens and selecting appropriate adjunctive therapies.
- Recognize and assess common neuropsychiatric and non-motor features associated with movement and neurodegenerative disorders and select evidence-based approaches for their diagnosis and management.
- Determine when advanced therapies should be considered and evaluate current evidence and clinical considerations for deep brain stimulation, infusion therapies, focused ultrasound, and other device-aided treatments.
- Interpret biomarker and neurodiagnostic data to differentiate among neurodegenerative disorders and integrate this information to inform individualized patient care.
- Differentiate among common hyperkinetic disorders based on clinical features and select evidence-based treatments appropriate to each condition.
- Evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body dementia, and Parkinson’s disease dementia, including the role of pathology-targeted and emerging disease-modifying therapies in clinical decision-making.
